verdi saw that she had won and exited her simulator as her eyes returned to normal. "yeah it was a good match" she said. then she began walking off shakily. She walked a few feet trying to get to her room when she collapsed in the middle of the hallway. Luckily for her she had not realized her brother was there enjoying time off and he was walking down the hall smoking his cigarette after his fight with ravager. He was just thinking about who the strange foe had been when he heard about the silver haired little girl that gad passed out after winning two duels in a row. Dropping his cig he rushed to where the medics were heading and found his sister lying there being tended by a couple medics. "What In the hell happened here? What was she even doing here. I didn't even know she was here" Brad said in alarm as they tended her. And he reached down and felt her burning head disturbed by how hot she was.

Alex had been watching the battle in the lounge, sipping on a glass of pulp-free orange juice, seeing how well Verdi handled his new Zurkon unit, when he saw Verdi lose control and was particularly troubled by the dark glow given off by her Shining Grips in the last few bits of the battle. Valen gave him the rights to sell the Grips, so anything related to them was of interest to Alex so that Valen could be informed of it. Finishing his orange juice, Alex quickly left the lounge and headed for the simulator entrance and got there as the medics were checking Verdi. "I saw what happened in the battle. What caused her to lose control like that? I know her opponent was taunting her, but the way her Shining Grips glowed...they were black as night, and the way her bits were moving, it was as if the suit was controlling itself out of her rage. Any idea what may have caused this?"

Brad looked at Alex "how could the suit control her bits out of rage. I didn't know bit controllers could do that?" Brad said in confusion unaware of the system changes his sister had, had installed without his knowledge. he watched as she was loaded onto a cart and hauled to the medical wing. Brad followed motioning for Alex to please follow and explain what was going on. but as he was leaving he said "I want all data from the duel to be sent to me what was she even doing here?" quickly a tech rushed to get the data and told him it would be sent to him as soon as it was collected.

Alex was surprised that Verdi's bits were moving like they were at the end of the battle, and was wondering if she had used a system that Team Strike's research department had recently produced, then asked the tech that came to get the data from the battle for a readout of Verdi's suit to scan for anything that functions similarly to a Bit Controller, but on a fundamentally different level. While waiting for the specs, he started to wonder if Verdi's rage had any possible connection to a system that Team Strike had recently developed to quicken the response time of bits. If it was, then Alex was sure the Harlow siblings would be more than thrilled to hear that their new bit control system caused the sister of the Lord of Eisengrad to enter a rage state and then pass out.

Brad was led into A private waiting room off the side of her room. He had asked for Alex to join him as he had questions for the techy. He watched the battles the first battle recorded was normal for Verdi if not a little brutal. tho he could see that she had made several changes to her suit. The second battle disturbed him more. "Alex what is happening she seems to be fine then she suddenly Changed" Brad said as he watched the bitnado appear. What truly scared him tho was the massive beam at the end. Had that been a real city the loss of life would have been catastrophic. "Tell me how this happened" he said as he looked at her suits load out. "I would like you to have your techies run a full diagnostic of her suit Please. What I am seeing here is dangerous tech Did you set this tech up for her and if not i would like to speak with whoever made this tech."
"This sort of tech is both dangerous and could be useful in the fight with the UE." tho as he said it he remembered his duel against the stranger. "That attack she used at the end i had used on me in a duel just now. Please send me the data on my last suel as well. Alex when hey send this to me please watch my duel and tell me where this power is coming from?" Brad finished as he lit another cig his hand shaking as one of the people rushed to pull up his last duel.

Alex turned to Brad with a bit of a no-nonsense expression. "I can think of only one thing that could cause the change between Verdi's battles, and no, I didn't add it. The only thing I can think of that could bring about such a change is Natalie Harlow's recently developed Prototypical Psychommu System. It was developed at Valen's request to help quicken the response time of his Bits, but the mental strain put on a person without the mental strength and willpower is very high, as it was developed specifically to use the higher brainwave functional capabilities of Super Soldiers and those with higher brainwave capacity than ordinary humans. How Verdi could've gotten a hold of the system is beyond me, but one thing's certain. She just used a system that could fry the brain of a normal human with no proper mental training, and both the second part of her battle and her current condition are the results. As for those attacks, I'm not too sure. In Verdi's case, the cause may be her going haywire under her opponent's taunting and the Psychommu's influence, but apart from that, I'm not too sure myself. I'll look into it, but no guarantees."

Valen and Victor rushed onto the scene. The moment they had heard about it they had climbed into the closest Assault Container and flew over as fast as they could. "How the hell could this have happened?" Demanded Valen to noone in particular during the trip.
"I don't know." Replied Victor as he brought the container down next to the arena. The moment he touched down he began punching commands into the computer. "I'm downloading the combat data into my laptop. I'll review it so we can figure out what went wrong and how we can improve it." A few moments later the duo had found Alex and Brad.

While contemplating how Verdi got ahold of the Proto-Psychommu, Alex was disturbed from his thoughts by the sighting of Victor and Valen.
"Oh, hey guys. I take it you heard about Verdi's little incident? I'm just guessing here, but I have a strong bet that she somehow managed to put the Prototype Psychommu System, which was developed for you, Valen, onto her suit. Not only that, but she just recently used it without any form of mental training to withstand the strain of using it. Any idea how she might have gotten a hold of the system?"

"We believe there was a misunderstanding when we informed the armory about the restrictions on this technology. Last time I trust Willis to make a transfer." Spat Valen.
"I plan to go to the armory and personally ensure the proper restrictions are in place. However, while unfortunate, this does give us the chance we needed to expand the psycommu system's perimeters." Said Victor as he read through the data appearing on his laptop.
"What he means is we'll do our best ensure this never happens again. I'll gather our engineers over at the bunker and get to work on it. Victor, I want you to do what you can to fix this. Work with Natalie and get this done. When we're ready let me know so I can get the Psy Zaku and the Stinger prepped for testing.

Natalie walked down the corridor, her face showing a stern expression.
"Where is she?" she asked coldly, clearly she found the idea of a 12-year old not only fighting in a mobile suit but also using an experimental system disgraceful and intended to keep her away from any fights.

Brad Looked at Alex as he explained it. "So This system was made to help bit users like Verdi?" Brad asked realizing how a system like this would appeal to her. "I don't Understand How she could have gotten it" He Asked again he wasn't even sure he understood the principles around it. He understood how a mobile suit worked but the technical parts dealing with bits he had never truly understood. As he was wondering what they meant he knew Verdi would understand her grasp on bits was scary proabably why she had taken such a risk. Suddenly he was jolted out of his thoughts by the arrival of two more men.
"Who are you?" He asked "Are you the ones here about the System my sister was using. I really don't understand it but if you have any information about what happened. And how to prevent this from happening again." Brad said.
Part of him wanted to rip it out of her suit, to tell her she couldn't pilot any more. But he knew all that would do is cause her to keep more secrets from him. so With a sigh he looked at them. "Please try and find a way to stop this backlash. Even if I took the system from her she would only get ahold of it again or something even more dangerous. Tho.." he said the last part becoming more stern "How did A twelve year old girl get a hold of such a system? His sister was smart and he had little doubt she could have gotten her hands on the system if she wanted it.... He just had to find out how she had done it and heaven help them if any of his white knights helped her install such a system without asking him. Or even doing tests before letting a twelve year old girl into the cockpit.
"Anyways I hear this was a system made for super soldiers and those with higher brain capacity. Have you tested this system on non super soldiers like my sister? Has anyone else had this happen?" Brad was worried sick as he glanced to another monitor and saw his sister lying there still unconscious in the medical bay. I need to go check on her I will give you all fifteen minutes to Look this over and come up with conclusions. Brad said as he left the room and went to check on his sister.

Natalie was alone with Verdi and begun standard medical checks on her. Although most of her body was fine she was concerned about the readings she detected from Verdi's brain, the psycommu backlash had severely damage multiple regions. The worst part was there was no physical trauma which she could repair, the only choice was to continue monitoring her and administer a regeneration booster, it may not have a huge effect on such a complex organ, but it would be better then nothing. Natalie sat down and began to check over the logs from the fight and compare them Verdi's recorded biometric data. "Who did this to you?" she asked herself.

Brad entered Verdi's room and looking at the Dr asked "How is she? I am her brother and guardian Brad. She was in a duel and something happened. I didn't even know she was here it is a coincidence I was even here at the same time as her." Brad looked at the Dr wanting to know what had happened. "Is she going to be all right?" He asked as he looked at her. "She was using some new system something about bit control. Still trying to figure out where she got it. But it seems to have affected her" Brad explained wondering if he was making the right choice in allowing her to remain a pilot if she still wished to after this. Tho he hoped she would be to scared to pilot again.

Natalie sighed. "From what I can tell she suffered some kind of neural shock, brought on by a severe emotional response. Right now she's unconscious but recovering, though a full recovery of her full mental abilities may take a while." she frowned. "If, at all."
She stood up and handed Brad her tablet displaying the biometric records.
"I haven't been able to find the trigger yet, but it caused some kind of "psycommu backlash". It's astonishing she managed to summon the will to push the system that far. Any more and she'd be in a permanent coma."
She walked over to Verdi and placed a hand on her forehead, although she didn't want to say it out loud it pained her to see such a young girl in a state like this.
"Who did she fight?"

Brad looked at her. I am not sure Mason Something I was not present at this duel. As I said I thought she was in her quarters In unicorn HQ. I was here to take a break from my paper work trying to find a place for all the refugees from Eisengrad. Decided a duel would help clear my mind. I didn't even realize she was here until I heard the news that a silver haired young pilot had collapsed after a duel. I never approved the tech she was using. until this moment i didn't realize she was using this new bit system or I would have insisted on tests first. I left people in another room trying to figure out what happened. Just keep her comfortable and call me if she wakes up. I will have someone send you the name of her opponent she. fought him twice in a row." Brad said with a grim smile. "you must think it is terrible that I let her fight in this war. I can see it in your face. But If I told her no she would have gone and fought anyway. Even with my permission she went behind my back and installed dangerous equipment on her suit. If I tell her she can't fight she will fight anyways. And I would rather be able to keep an eye on her....Plus she is one of the most naturla pilots i have ever seen she is a better pilot at twelve with six months training then I was in my first few years of piloting." Brad thought the last part to himself. "I don't know much about this system but if there is a way for her to master this system I want to know. When she wakes up it will be her first concern. She doesn't take failure.....well" Any ways I am returning to the private waiting room I will be using while she is here. If you need me I will be there and be sure to let me know when she wakes up." Brad said as he walked over to his sister and kissed her forehead "Stay strong and heal" Brad whispered in her ear before he turned to leave the room "I will return to check on her"
