Stepping into the arena, Walter felt slightly intimidated. He was not a close-combat specialist, and he knew Cypher preferred that type more than long-range. Shaking his head, he moved his GM forward to the far side of the arena and took out his beam rifle and waited.

The normally roaring and cheering crowd quickly grew silent with anticipation as the large doors leading into the MS ready room on Cypher's side of the arena began to slowly creak open. Casually striding into the arena's battle grounds, Cypher stopped his signature Genoace custom about a third of the way in and glanced over in the direction of his new opponent.
Waiting for either pilot to make the first move, the audience held a collective baited breath as the two mobile suits stared each other down, each sizing the other up.

Walter lifted his beam rifle and fired at the Genoace. It seemed to be a day for Genoaces as this was the second one he was to fight. He really couldn't afford to give Cypher the advantage, seeing as his suit was superior to his. So he would have to take the initiative and strike first, and strike hard. He released his ten machine gun bits into the air and had five float above him while having the remaining five spread out before him. He knew his bits weren't fast so it wouldn't be worth it to have them charge across the field until he was close enough that they could fire without such concerns as being shot down from afar.

"Heh..." Cypher grunted as he boosted to the side of his opponents beam shot and watched as he launched 10 bits into the air. The enemy was using a pattern that Cypher himself often employed. Send some of the bits on the offensive and keep some of them back as a defense buffer. However, this wouldn't stop the droid and he would move in close to kill his opponent.
Drawing both his beam pistols as he boosted forward, he fired at the lead two bits the enemy sent forward. He cared not if they were hit or evaded, the point was to get them out of his way so that he could approach the opponent relatively unhindered. The bits on his sides as he passed by them would no doubt fire on him, but that is why he had twin, arm length shields equipped to both his mobile suit's arms.
Once he broke the primary bit defenses, the secondary bits would be dealt with by sheer overwhelming force. Launching all twenty of his bits, he would have them swarm the opponent and his bits and open fire with all of them. The mass of automatic firepower would not only serve to distract his enemy's targeting systems and bits, but also serve to deal some light damage and open him up to a duo of point blank beam pistol shots, one to each of the shoulder joints.

The precision of Cypher's beam pistols was astounding, and they took out two of his bits right off the bat. But he was not to be deterred. He would not let himself be distracted. Walter kept his sniper rifle raised and fired off another shot, while having his bits charge forward and tighter than before and open fire. He also turned his shoulder cannon toward the opposing Genoace but did not fire it, instead choosing to save it for another time.
Cypher was undoubtedly going to be the toughest foe he had ever faced, and he would not underestimate him. Cypher knew how to make a good suit, and while any suit could take it down, it would require a certain amount of skill to get it done.

Cypher swiveled to the side and presented the enemy with his shielded left side, allowing his shield to take the punishment from his opponent's sniper rifle and from his bits. Presenting a smaller target to the opponent allowed Cypher to avoid taking much damage and made him a touch more streamline, allowing him to move a little faster.
However, Cypher wanted insurance. So activating his booster, Cypher drove his suit faster and threatened to ram into his enemy's mobile suit. He also redirected his own bits to focus their attacks on the opponent's bits while docking the beam pistol in his right hand and exchanging it for one of his beamsabers.
If he could get close enough to the enemy during his rush, he would attempt to slash diagonally across the opponent's torso, ending the match in one decisive strike. But should his opponent attempt to avoid his attack and his charge, Cypher had the beam pistol in his left hand at the ready and his computers informed him that his beam cannon was fully charged and ready to fire.

With the bits fighting it out, Walter turned his attention back to Cypher, and quickly docked his rifle in favor of his beam saber. He lifted it up with both hands around the handle and blocked the incoming blow. While Cypher's suit might have had the advantage of momentum, using both hands added extra force to the swing somewhat negating the effect, only managing to push him back slightly. Then, rotating his cannon again, he fired right at Cypher's suit. He figured it wouldn't hit, but it would buy him some time.
At the same time this was happening, however, two of Bifrost's back-up bits broke off from their formation and started firing at the droid.

Sabers now locked with each other, Cypher raised his beam pistol to fire a point blank shot at the opponent's torso. However, before he could squeeze off the shot, his enemy this round began to fire his beam cannon.
Working quickly, Cypher lined his own cannon shot to impact with Bifrost's beam cannon shot. The impacting energies merged for a moment before becoming volatile and detonating in a violent explosion between the two combating mobile suits, blowing them both back away from each other while catching many of both pilot's bits in the blast.
Getting up after being slammed against the wall, Cypher recalled his remaining 8 bits and ran a damage report.
"Left arm, 75% crippled. Primary cameras at 60% efficiency. Left shield, destroyed. Ejecting. Mobility down by 15%. All other systems are status yellow. Overall mobile suit combat readiness, 80%."
Cypher's Genoace roboticly sighed. "Well, I guess I better end this quickly..." Cypher mused to himself as he steadied his unit and took up a combative stance, his left arm barely holding his beam pistol steady as his right arm held his beamsaber diagonally in front of him.

When the two cannons clashed, the two suits were blown backwards in opposite directions. With 5 of his bits destroyed now, he only had three remaining and he was loath to lose them this early in the battle, so he recalled them for the time being. His suit had also been damaged. His sensors had been battered, but still functioned enough to move. His arms were fine for the most part, but they had taken damage and a lot of stress would not be good for them. So he would have to try and keep to ranged combat for the moment.
Picking his suit off the wall, he noticed his opponent ejecting a shoulder shield and gave a sardonic grin. His suit had been damaged, yes, but so had Cypher's.
Putting his saber away, he grabbed his beam rifle and raised it into position, and fired right at the droid. He would wait for his cannon to recharge, as it seemed to have the most effect on the Genoace Custom.

Cypher loosed another robotic sigh. "Again with a long shot beam rifle attack?" Cypher questioned as he raised his right shield in front of himself to take the beam shot.
While defending himself, Cypher docked his beam pistol behind the concealment of his shield and grabbed two grenades from his holder before dashing forward towards his opponent, shield still raised and beamsaber still active.
Cypher's plan was to get close to his competition's unit, swing his saber in an upward diagonal slash while maybe getting a lucky shield bash in, but ultimately getting his opponent's guard open enough to shove the two grenades into the barrel of the enemy's beam cannon.

When he saw the suit take the sniper shot with no trouble, he growled. Well, it just meant he would have to try harder.
As the suit charged forward, he put away his rifle once more and drawing his beam saber. Activating it, he brought it up into the Falcon stance with the blade held over his head. Activating his vulcans, he fired at the approaching suit. He saw him grab something, but wasn't sure what, and really, he didn't want to find out.
So, rotating his cannon, he fired at the droid once again. He didn't know how much longer he would last, but he didn't want to get taken out so quickly. Releasing his three bits, he figured that they wouldn't be of much use anyway beyond defense so had them move in front of him a fair distance forward and fire at Cypher.

((Vangran, you need to edit your posts. You need to wait for a two turn recharge before you can fire the beam cannon again...))
