Outside the small village of Angelia, a group of pre-teen boys and girls were running around and shooting at each other with plastic pellet guns. Their toy guns were fashioned to look like the real guns the soldiers of Eisengrad used in actual combat. They were pretending to be in the Eisengrad military and were pretending to have a war with whatever beings the 'bad guys' they heard their parents call the U.E. were.
"Ha! I got you you evil space alien!!" A brown haired boy shouted with glee when one of his rifle's pellets pinged off the back of a blonde girl's head. "You can't stop the Eisengrad Army!!" The boy shouted as he shot at the blonde girl again, this time hitting her in the shoulder.
"Ow!! Stop it, Tommy!! You got me the first time, you didn't have to shoot me again!" The blonde girl shouted back at boy who shot her as she rubbed the back of her head. "That really hurt! I thought we said no headshots!!" She yelled at him, casting an upset glare at him.
"Well, how else am I supposed to make sure a U.E. alien is dead? I have to shoot it in the head." Tommy retorted.
"The U.E. aren't aliens, stupid! My daddy said that they are probably robots just like Mr. Cypher!!"
"Oh yeah!? Well, how would he know that, Katie? No one knows what the U.E. are for sure."
Katie looked down confused and blushed. "Well...I...I don't know for sure. But Daddy said that he met Mr. Cypher and I know my daddy wouldn't lie to me!!" Katie spat back in desperation as the other kids started to ignore them and continued to play army with each other.
However, a sudden rumble caused all the kids to quickly stop what they were doing and to look in the direction they heard the noise come from. Another rumble made them drop their toys and run for the nearest grouping of trees so that they could hide. Something was coming and they were a little frightened.
Soon, a lone Genoace came into view and was making its way to the children and their small hometown at a fair clip. "You think it's gonna attack?" Jimmy, a red haired boy whispered. "I don't know, but I'm scared..." Matt, a black haired boy and the youngest of the group replied quietly with an almost inaudible squeek.
"Well, I'm gonna try to get back to the village and tell my dad. They can try to see if they can stop this guy." Tommy said as he tried to be brave to impress Katie. However, a sudden tug on his collar from Katie made him turn his attention to her. "What are you doing!?" He nearly shouted, confused as he watched her squint her eyes and take a harder look at the rapidly approaching mobile suit.
"I...I think...Oh my God! It is!! That's Mr. Cypher's mobile suit!" Katie shouted with a schoolgirl squeal as she quickly climbed back down the tree they were all in. All the others were out of the tree by the time she was already on the ground and well on her way to running towards Cypher's Genoace.
Cypher was working his way across the grassy green expanse that separated him from Marie's place. He enjoyed the scenery out here and the quiet peace that this country like environment offered. If he could actually feel emotions, he imagined he would be feeling calm and tranquil right now.
Suddenly several biological non-combatant contacts popped up on his computer's display. Stopping his mobile suit, Cypher's Genoace moved its head and looked down at the group of pre-pubesent children quickly making their way to the feet of his Genoace.
Moving his unit to wave at the children, they all screamed and shouted in delight as they waved back up at him. Beginning to continue his route to Marie's house, Cypher couldn't help but to mechanically laugh to himself as the group of pre-teens attempted to run along with him, doing their best to try to keep up with the much larger strides his mobile suit took in comparison.
Making sure to not mistakenly trample one of them underfoot, he quickly began to out-pace them, forcing them to give up their friendly chase and to go back home.
It wasn't long afterwards for Cypher to arrive at Marie's place. Getting his Genoace down on one knee, Cypher gently laid the object his mobile suit held in its hand on the ground. It was his body, and shortly after setting it on the ground, Cypher moved his Genoace to the nearby mobile suit service station Marie had at her place and began to power down.
Moments later, Cypher's main body came to life and he got himself up off the ground and made his way to the front door of Marie's place. Knocking three times, Cypher then opened the door and make his way in. Inside, Marie was nowhere to be found in the front room. Setting the strange components he and the rest of the people he worked with recovered on the large table there, Cypher scanned the area looking for the pale mysterious woman.
"Marie, are you home? I have something I need you to look at for me." He questioned flatly, assuming that she was in one of the other rooms and within earshot.
