prelude to battle

It has been three days sinse the battle of Unicorn Headquarters. Sinse then, most of the bases options are now up and running, including communications, and Radar. Sinse then, pilots from all over have been gathering at the Headquarters, all of their mobile suits dammaged in one way or another or another. All telling different stories, and all bad. Each have arived from different parts of the world, and each tell a similar story. Each was attacked by a different unknown enemy.

We now find ourselves in a briefing room within the main headquarters of the unicorn base. Around the table are pilots(Note, all the characters currently in the RPG.)

Standing at the front of the briefing room is Leon Bieldi, head mechanic from Diggin's rock. Though badly beaten, as evident from the number of bandages he is covered in, he is still mobile.

"Welcome all of you. I have gathered you here because your mobile suits are in the best shape we have right now for what is needed. As each of you know, three days ago, this base, and multiple places the world over were attacked by an unknown enemy, piloting units we have never seen before. Carefull study of a few items salvadged from the attack show that the enemy is uning technology similar to what we use, but different in many ways, but that is off topic."

Leon turns to a large screen at one end of the room, and pulls out a small remote.

"Right before the attack, equipment here at Unicorn headquarters detected the power up of the long dormant G systems world wide. Immediatly afterwards, radar detected large objects, which we suspect were mobile suit transports landing not far away. According to survivors of other attacks, the same thing happened to each town. Soon afterwards, the enemies attacked the base, knocking out communications and Radar. This happened world wide at almost the exact same time, cutting us all off from each other. I suspect, we are now alone in the world."

Leon shows a picture of a large, mostly circular building.

"This is a G system. Before the Fall, these were used to help create weapons of war, as well as multiple other items needed. After the fall, they all shut off, and we did not have the ability to reactivate them. I suspect that the enemy managed what we could not."

Leon moved the picture on, to a large tunnel entrance.

"This is diggin's rock. This is a town centered around a large weapons factory, and was originally built inside a huge G system. If we are to further succeed, we must recapture this location, as we have the designs for new units there. We must also capture a G system, to allow us to build the new units more easily. To this effect, I am dividing up our current forces."

Leon turns to the others.

"Our first mission will be to capture this."

With a click of his remote, he shows the picture of a large hover craft.

"We will provide you with a mode of transportation. This is the Bassilisk. It is a hover tansport, capable of traveling on land or water with ease."

"Our second mission is the capture of Diggins rock, which will happen after the attack on the G system."

Edgar sat in the briefing room, listening to what Leon had to say.

"According to survivors of other attacks, the same thing happened to each town."

Edgar's eyes fell to thetable as he heard this. 'So... that means Europe was attacked too...' he thought, not looking up. That means my mother... might not have made it out of there...' He looked back up as Leon continued to speak.

'So we're gonna split up to attack these guys... I just wish that we could take back Europe now.' he thought, his eyes moving over the faces of all the pilots.

"Um sir... when are we gonna attempt to take back Europe?" Edgar asked, directing his attention toward Allan and Leon.

"Yea i have a question does this dress show off my boobs correctly doesnt squash them or anything." Arya asked frowning as she fussed with her dress trying to make sure it showed off a little bit of cleavege. "Arya knock it off on a more serious matter yea the gaw whats it transporting." Requiem asked half out of curiousty the other half simpley cuz he could

With a cough the older man that had been sitting at the far end of the table stood up and looking at the beat up mechanic said "Mr Bieldi what do we know about the Area around the G system? Also I believe the south American operation needs at least two flight type suits for on the spot recon" Captain Drake said as he pulled out his pipe and lit it with a match. Taking in a deep breath he let the smoke out through his nose as he waited for a response.

Meanwhile Brad had been listening to the briefing with a growing sense of annoyance. "What about Eisengrad!" He had not meant to speak the last part out loud but since he had he waited he was quite curious about there plans for Eisengrad.

Ric and Roxy walked into the room and took a seat. "Sorry we are late I was getting my wound taken care of," Ric said. Roxy nodded and said, "I was fine tuning some calibrations on my machine when Ric reminded me to report here." The blonde took a seat next to Ric. They looked around the room.

Then they listened to what was being said and Ric smiled, "When do we attack?" Roxy nodded and said, "I am ready." Ric nodded.

Right behind Ric and Roxy, Cypher dipped low to make his way into the room. Standing up straight once he was through, Cypher looked over everyone before reporting in.

"From what I understand, we are going to attempt to reclaim one of the local G Systems. I request that I be part of the forces scouting the area and infiltrating the structure. My knowledge of the G Systems may prove useful to ensure the team's survival and to guarantee successful commandeering of the structure and all systems within."

Cypher paused as he moved to stand near the display screen. Touching the device, Cypher projected his recent combat data onto the screen. "My encounters with the recent enemy indicate that they are unpiloted mobile suits. I have a few theories as to why. They are either controlled by a single individual who has excellent control with mobile dolls due to his or her activation of the G Systems, or they were controlled by multiple pilots who were in the immediate vicinity observing the actions of the units they were controlling."

Again Cypher paused just long enough for everyone to absorb this new information. "As for the units themselves, I have no record on file in my database of them. And as for their fighting style..." Cypher hesitated for a moment before he continued. "I think they somehow managed to obtain several copies of my combat records and data. They then crudely emulated it and installed it as a combat AI into each of their units."

Cypher removed his hand from the display and the images upon it reverted back to what was there previously. He then moved to the corner and nodded at Leon Bieldi to continue with his report.

Leon answeres both Edgar and Brad's questions first, as both are basically the same question. Clicking on his remote, he shows Eisengrad with a huge energy barrier over it.

"We may, unfortunatly, have to wait to attack Eisengard. It appears that the enemy activated the energy field generators at the four forts, making it almost impossible for us to reach the city. Nothing we have can get through that barrier right now."

Next, Leon answers Requiem's question, ignoring Arya's questions with a sigh, and working very hard not to look, with all of his will power.

"The Gaw will carry the mobile suits for the mission. A single Gaw can hold up to six mobile suits as well as other equipment."

Leon then turns then to Captain Drake.

"Unfortunatly, because of the tree growth, we know little about the area around the G system. After 20 years, with nothing to push back the growth, the local jungle has mostly taken over the outside of the G system. The Group who goes there will have to take some cutting equipment to get to the door I suspect. Also, I agree with the flight units."

And Finally, Leon nods towards Cypher's comments.

"Indeed, I had already been planning to send you. You will be the leader of this particular expidition."

Leon looks up as another enters the room.

Entering the room now, the Hunter quickly takes a seat, putting her feet up on the table and leaning back.

"Just point me at what you want me to kill, I don't care about the details, so long as you don't send me with the little miss prissy over there, we should be fine."

She says motioning to Arya.

Edgar watched as the two pilots they met over the ocean came into the room, with Cypher not too far behind. Edgar's eyes snapped to the screen, while Leon explained about why they couldn't take back Eisengrad yet. His eyes, slid to the ground after awhile and his fist curled into a ball. 'Dammit... I'll be there as soon as I can mom...' he thought, looking back up towards Leon as he answered the other questions.

Ric sat there for a moment and then said, "I would like to attack and take back the town. I want to get back at the UE for their blitz attack." Roxanne nodded and said, "I want to go with Ric. I have fought with him longer than any of you guys. I know some of his quirks and tendencies." Ric looked around the room and then said, "Besides I am better suited for combat than expeditions."

[Droid]

"Understood, Sir." Cypher said as he saluted before making his way out the door, again ducking low to get through. He walked down the hall, down the stairs and out into the hangar to finish the dismantling of his old Full Armored GM leaving to check on the status of the custom Genoace he had the base's mechanics working on.

He had to make sure that his new unit was in tip top condition, had enhanced servos for better reaction time, and would be ready for anything. This unit would be his body in combat. It demanded the utmost and closest attentions if he were to use it right during the mission to protect and defend his allies.

Captain Drake nodded his head to what was said. This mission could end in disaster if any of the details were wrong. so looking up he asked one more question ""When does the Attack Commence? I want to make sure the Bassilisk is fully Prepped by then.

Brad was sitting there in silence. "Eisengrad fell and the sheilds are up. I want to retake it but that would be nearly impossible by myself. Plus they will need all the pilots they can get." Brad thought to himself as he clenched his right fist so hard he drew blood in his frustration. But he made no sound as he took in all the important details in the mission. Eisengrad must wait it was as simple as that.

Leon shut off the projector, and then turns back to the others.

"We leave in one hour for the mission. If you have any last minute maintenance issues, get them done on our way there. The head mechanic on the Bassilisk can do some amazing things with mobile suits."

He mumbles under his breath.

"I can't believe a kid is better then me."

Be there 15 minutes before we leave in the hangar, don't be late, or you will be left behind."

Leon turns away, and leaves the room.

The Hunter pulls her legs down from the table.

"Well, this should be interesting."

And with that she leaves the room.
