It was simply gliding across the desert sands, the newly refurbished Tieran Taozi that Joshua had acquired for field use quite recently. The controls were fairly familiar, but the capabilities were vastly superior to his old Fanton and thus still difficult to control. Nonetheless you wouldn't know it to look at the Mobile Suit, its course was true and Joshua was headed right in for the agreed meeting location for the duel with his first opponent. A simple sparring match, open desert with minimal sand dunes to provide a mere 4-5 meters in depth and 45-degree slopes at their worst.
It was pure smooth desert for a battlefield, midday, clear skies. Little to hinder either combatant other than oppressive heat.

The fighter enters the arena, using his flight thrusters to keep him above the sand as much as possible. On his unit's back is a cape, held in place on the shoulders with what appear to be claws. Landing nearby, at the bottom of one of the dunes, the fighter notices his oponent. He simply stands there, waiting for his oponent to make the first move.

Joshua finally came into view of his enemy, and never one for pointless conversation he got right to the point. Switching on the combat log, he began the combat log. "Target identified. Switching to Alpha Pattern. Will advise further."
The Tieran Taozi sped up, moving at a leftwards angle away from the target in a lazy circle just inside maximum weapons range. Joshua was playing it conservatively - if the Fighter wanted the gap to close he was going to have to do it himself this time. Regardless of the Fighter's intention - the Tieran's Modular Sniper Rifle/Machinegun came up in its sniper configuration. Spitting the cross-hairs directly onto the enemy's torso, Joshua let the lock confirm before firing off a single round.

The fighter sees Joshua bring up his Sniper rifle, and quickly brings up his shield, blocking as much as possible the Sniper shot, but taking a lot of dammage to the shield in the process. Quickly, the fighter activates his thrusters at full speed, and shoots forwards, activating the shining grip in his unit's hand, making it glow withe beam energy in mode 1, aiming his unit's hand directly at the Tieren Taozi's head at top speed.

Joshua grimaced as the shield his enemy possessed took damage, but held. That was some defense. "Initial attack ineffective, switching to Charlie."
The Tieran Taozi's pilot was surprised by the rapid advance of the enemy unit. Though Joshua had intended to keep his distance and slowly swing inwards - the Fighter was eating up the distance between them with clear intent to strike. But this Mobile Suit, however slow, had an advantage thanks to its variable thrusters. The shoulder shields were capable of redirecting the main apogee motors on them in any direction the pilot so wished.
Which was good, because Joshua quickly analyzed the situation and realized that with this speed gap trying to duck was essentially pointless. Therefore his only effective option was to aim for a decisive blow to end the situation now before it got any worse. Letting go of the barrel of his Sniper with his suit's right hand, the thrusters pointed out ahead of the Taozi and towards the Fighter's suit. Just before the thruster's fired - the weapon latch on the Oversied Booster released, allowing the Taozi's Giant Bazooka to sail forward freely.
Then, when the thrusters fired - it changed the Taozi's course. No longer circling the enemy, it was instead moving backwards in line with the Fighter's approach. Similarly, the Taozi grabbed its baooka as it fell back to set up for the Fighter's charge. Now in line with its enemy's approach there was little need for a target lock (and in any case, it was quickly attained) as the enemy was coming head-on when Joshua fired a single round from his Giant Bazooka into the torso of the Fighter's Mobile Suit.
If by some miracle that attack failed to stop the charge, Joshua braced himself for the impact on his Suit...

The fighter takes the bazooka round full blast to the torso, doing a TON of dammage to the torso armor and part of the torso under the armor, as well as the head and part of the primary arms of his suit. This forces him to disengage his extra armor, and slows him down a bit, but the thrusters keep him moving forwards still, slamming his fist lower down then the fighter had been anticipating, but still hitting.
The fighter quickly realises he needs to change tactics, and disengages the claws holding on the cape behind his suit, bringing them forwards to produce a second set of arms attached to the Shoulder hard points on his suit. At this range, the fighter can't miss, so he opens fire on Jason's suit with the built in beam guns in the claws, and swings with his unit's right fist once more.

Joshua just shook his head when the enemy Suit took his second shot and just ejected its armor. Seriously - that's some armor! The first punch sliced its way through the mid torso of the Tieran Taozi, but luckily the head wasn't decapitated. Still, the structural damage to the torso despite its heavy armor was significant - and the Fighter's Suit just kept pushing its assault.
This time, however, it deployed two sub-arms and subsequently, launched a beam assault in addition to aiming a second punch. Knowing the Tieran Taozi couldn't weave its way around the assault, Joshua knew his only option was to sacrifice his shields to absorb the assaults. As they were already deployed forward, he simply changed their position to flip inwards and then cant upwards - forming a wall of armor between his torso and the incoming attacks.
The beam cannon strikes stripped the thrusters from the shields, the punch coring both shields before slicing through them. But even as the Fighter's assault breached the shield's defense - a cable shot out from the Tieran's torso - its grappling arm attempting to tie itself to the arm and then subsequently deliver a powerful electrical shock to the Fighter's Suit through the grappling cable's shock core. Whether or not that succeeded - Joshua launched all 60 of his Improved Machinegun Bits - the next action being obvious.
Intended to be the final blow, all of the Bits then opened fire on the Fighter's Suit. Its extra armor ejected, and hopefully the Suit itself slowed down at the very least by the shock of the grappling cable, the Machinegun Bits ideally would have a field day raking the enemy with bullets.

The fighter's hand is indeed wraped up by the Cord, but the Fighter quickly grabs onto the Shock cord with the fully activated Shining grips of his suit, shorting it out. The shock still did some dammage to the suit's arm.
((Think Destiny Gundam Vs. Gouf Seed Destiny. I made sure this could work with Ransac as he built those hands.))
The fighter quickly makes a decission, seeing as how so many bits are now released against him. Shielding himself as much as possible with his two large secondary arms, the fighter quickly moves around so that he has Joshua between himself and as many of the bits as he could manage, and opens up with an attack on Joshua's unit, letting the bits do their bit.

OOC: I gotta say - I object to every single thing in that post, officially. It's just a lot of stretch to buy in one sitting. Still, in an effort to move on... I'll roll with what I've got. BTW Usam - how exactly were you attacking? With the same charged palm, or what?
IC:
Joshua didn't bother reacting overmuch as the Fighter's Mobile Suit closed. Its sub-arms protected it from much of Joshua's bit attacks, and as it closed the young pilot just grimaced and let his shield binders fall away and quickly put his bits now in danger of shooting himself into idle mode while spreading them out further to avoid any more such accidents. Then - he took advantage of the gentle slopes of the desert sands and simply let his Mobile Suit fall backwards - a fall assisted by a bazooka shell aimed into the sands between the Fighter's feet.
Falling back, Joshua then kicked in his Tieran's backpack and hip thrusters as the dust storm his attack kicked up enveloped the enemy's vision - intending to fly back up on top of the next dune over while putting away its bazooka in favor of its sniper rifle... and a defensive wall of machinegun bits now fully surrounding Joshua's Mobile Suit. If the Fighter wished to stage a second charge now, he was going to have to suffer the exposure of ducking Joshua's machineguns... right into the path his sniper rifle was happily waiting to predict.
Joshua eyed the Fighter's Suit warily, wondering what exactly his opponent was going to do next. Joshua's Tieran had lost its main thrusters and much of the cockpit armor - he wasn't inclined to let the Fighter get so close to him again. And now that his bits were out - he had enough firepower and then some to ensure that gap was never closed again.

The fighter quickly deactivates his Shining Grips, and pulls out his only non built in weapons. A pair of Beam Tonfa's. Reading them, the fighter moves forwards at top speed, first stabbing with one Tonfa, while bringing up the second for a swing at Joshua's unit's arm.
