The fighter entered the arena, and to the disapointed onlookers, his unit had not changed a bit. It had been rumored that he had gone for a new suit, but to the onlookers, the suit that the fighter had entered the arena in was only his old Zaku I. Little did they know, that while it looked like his old unit, his unit had been upgraded heavily, enough that his unit could easily match any of the new Zaku Units currently being released. Though he still had most of his old equipment, he would soon be upgrading to new weapons and accessories, but for this one fight, the fighter would stick with an old favorite.
Making a few practice punches in the air, the fighter waited for his oponent to enter the arena. He had been informed that this was a new commer to the mobile suit arena. This would be a fun fight.

The arena itself seemed...inappropriate at best. From the shadows of his corner came the sound of steps. The mobile piston's making their normal "Whrrr" sound with every movement of a limb, it was the only indication that there was another. From the darkness of the entrance, two green lines appeared on in a strange horizontal pattern, commonly attributed to upgraded visors. The shadows would dissipate as the mobile suit stepped into full view.
It was a strange design, that was no lie. Though it's basic frame was similar to that of the RGC-80 GM Cannon, It's overall armor and thruster positioning spoke of something more. The large blue cannon mounted over the right shoulder was indeed a terrifying sight to behold but nothing these spectators hadn't come to see before. Indeed, this unit was bland and conventional, yet those weapons...
Twin-Scoped Rifles, one Shell one Beam, were held in one hand. Their long barrels jutting out and ending in the exact same spot, giving this rifle a dual barreled appearance. Yet this was just for show, as the pilot would demonstrate. Reaching over with the other mobile hand, the rifles were split from one another, and now both hands held a long-gun. The showing was over, and the crowd enjoyed the flair. Reaching backwards, the Mobile Suit positioned the Beam Rifle upon the storage hardpoint, keeping it at the ready for use later on. Now holding the 30mm Long Range Rifle in his Mobile Suits Arms, the Unit was ready.
"...Let's begin. I don't have all day."

The fighter grined at the sight of the modified GM Cannon. He noted the extra armor, as well as the thrusters. He also noted the strange look of the weapon. None of this bothered him, he had fought units like this before, and won before. The fighter raised the enhanced fists of his mobile suit, the only real changes that the audience took note of, and waited for his oponent to make the first move.
"You may not, but I do. I have all the time in the world."

ooc: youtu.be/n4iKrjOkLrY"Keep up with me kid. We're going places." The flourish the mono-eye seemed to show was unimportant, what was important was that there was no weapon that would close the distance between them quick enough in the other's possession. However, he was not as ill equipped. Bringing the Rifle up to bear, in one swift motion, the heavily armored mobile-suit fired two rounds at the mono-eyed fighter. The two explosive rounds travelling in an unerring trajectory to slam hard into the right shoulder and chest area of the unit. This was just the beginning. As the rounds would be fired, the booster pack attached to his unit flared to life, blue afterburners exploding with heat and force. The Cannon, Temjin, began slide-dashing sideways, keeping the barrel of the 30mm Assault Rifle to bear on the melee styled enemy. His movement the begining of his second volley as two more shots were fired, at the opposite shoulder and hip, creating an almost Y, shot grouping. The blue-green lights of the visor flashing to life. It was the hum of energy coalescing and gathering within the long blue barrel of the shoulder-mount that would really indicate how this fight was going. Kieran had no illusion his attacks would land on their mark, nor did he expect them to. He just wanted his enemy to move, that's all he needed. Once the cyclops would begin it's evasion, this fight would finish in a sad display of anti-climatic showmanship and burnt debris.

The fighter immediatly, the moment he saw the weapons aim, went into motion, using the new speed of his mobile suit to it's fullest, he sent his mobile suit circling to the left of his oponent, one of the shots managing to hit his shoulder with a graze as he moved, causing an explosion, and doing dammage to his shoulder guard, though not enough to knock him off ballance. The fighter pushed his unit to go forwards, raising his enhanced fist to strike, but ducking down in preperation for any attack his oponent might send his way, sending another blow towards his oponent's leg when low enough.

"Bingo."
As his unit was already in motion before the strange cyclops decided to dash inward and towards the left, it wasn't hard for Kieran's rifle to track him. Infact, the purpose of the shots had indeed done their job as his enemy bolted into action. It was this movement, this speed, that would inevitably cause this next course of action to seem...perfectly timed. The rifle, when it's aim had been adjusted originally, had kept it's bead on the other suit. The 70%/30% Vernier and Thruster pulse ratio having moved his unit in a slide-dash sideways, it wasn't hard to keep up with his enemies leftward circle motion. Infact, as the graze seemed to impact a bit on the shoulder of his enemy (Probably the right shoulder shot hitting the left arm based off the movement in question), another shot was sent hurttling almost immediatly as the turn had been initiated.
The shot was aimed into the area in which the left-ward circle movement would hit it's apex and it was in that spot that his enemy would've just been initaiting a forward thrust to close the gap between them. Only what would have been waiting for him was the next explosive round, this one aimed at the stomach-torso area of the mobile suit. Due to the wider section of the stomach, and timing of his shot with the movement of his enemies mobile suit, Kieran was confident this next shot would hit it's mark enough to cause a stall in the enemies motion...which would give him perfect time to prepare for the next course of action.
As the Zaku zoomed in for it's attack, Kieran burst into evasive manuvers. Shifting the tilt of his unit's axis, switching the vernier and booster positioning to an opposite angle, Kieran began sliding the Temjin into a different direction, moving opposite his original trajectory barely avoiding the fist that was sent at his unit's leg. The Cannon unit was armored, this is true, but it's speed was in no way shape or form slow. The right fist His enemy had a reputation here, this much was true...yet Zono cared not. The UNICORN unit he'd grown up worshiping had shown him that tactics on the battlefield were subject to shifting constantly, and by adopting that philosophy, his quick-shots were ready for anything. The rifle still kept it's constant bead on the Zaku as the hum of the cannon on his shoulder grew louder once more, energy levels hitting their peak.
ooc: your post said "sending another blow" but I only saw the fist to the leg. Umm hopefully this edit is acceptable

Though the Enemies mobile suit was fast, the fighter's mobile suit was far faster, able to reach speeds that the enemies mobile suit had no chance of matching. After taking the blow to the torso of his mobile suit, thank goodness for the better armor of the new Zaku Unit, the fighter was a bit shook up, but the fighter was one tough pilot. The fighter decided to go on the offensive, quickly boosting his unit into the air, and pulling of a Fighter signature move, bringing his mobile suit down feet first, aiming a kick at the GM Cannon's shoulder mounted cannon. If the blow hits, it would dammage the shoulder cannon badly. He also readies his other foot to swing at his oponent if he tries to dodge his first attack.

The mono-eyed unit was fast. Superior in speed even to his unit? Most likely. Yet there was one thing that the Temjin had that the cyclops did not. It had Kieran. His eyes never once lost track of the unit, even as it began to ascend. In fact it was that very ascension that kicked Kieran into gear once more, reversing thrust capacity to slide rightward even further, the cannon style unit pushed itself to move out of it's position. However, the well-trained pilot had miscalculated the full-speed the cycloptic fighter possessed and felt his unit teeter and stumble as the foot made slight impact to the left shoulder of his unit.
"Shit!"
The Temjin stumbled backwards after impact, Kieran working his controls to stay on his feet. Klaxons roared in his cockpit as the damage report came scrolling across his screen. It wasn't bad, though the shoulder was probably a bit more damaged than he'd of liked. Still, there was always a way out of a situation like this. Using the thrusters as an assist, Zono regained control of his unit, and procceded to bring his unit to face the Zaku again. The young pilot had something prepared just for his "Martial-Art's" Styled opponent. A wicked grin crossing his lips, Kieran noted the lock-on and fired.
Beam energy coalesced across the short distance between the two, the Beam Cannon fired it's charged salvo at the Zaku, pink energy rippling across the small distance seperating the two. This was what he was waiting for, a nice clean shot from a short range...not like the beginning of their fight when they'd been seperated by such distance. No, this was the optimal range for such a powerful cannon styled attack such as this. Though, admittedly, had it not been for the enhanced armor of his unit, that kick may of done more than slightly damaged the left-shoulder plate of his mobile suit, still...thus was the luck of the battle. Unseen by the fighter though, a little blue object slid into the left hand of the Cannon unit, unseen due to the hand itself. Kieran was preparing something...

The fighter quickly made a decission, and brought up his left hand into the blast from the beam, letting the left hand take the brunt of the dammage. When the blast was over, all that was left of the left arm was a stump, but the fighter's mobile suit was still intact. With the loss of the arm, the fighter's unit took on a new stance. The fighter had this upgrade done specifically for this kind of situation. His Zaku had taken on a kick boxer stance. The fighter grins, and gets ready for this fight to really start going. He still had the use of his right arm, and his feet were now more effective weapons. The fighter activated his boosters, and brought his right leg up, aiming for his oponent's torso.

"Interesting..."
The Zaku's pilot had decided that sacraficing an arm to save the rest of the unit was a smart call. This was indeed an intriguing series of events. Now facing a stumpy Zaku which shifted its weight into a "Kick-Fighters" Stance, Kieran swiftly weighed his actions for a split-second before utilzing reverse thrust to move him backwards before his enemy moved towards him again. This motion is what allowed him to avoid the booster-assited leg that had to raise higher to hit his torso. Yet, it was that same motion that gave Zono the opening in which he'd attack. A smirk crossing the pilots lips, he weighed the fighter's skill on a scale.
"Seven..."
The heat rod snapped out like a whip in one fluid motion, aiming to wrap around the extended leg of the fighter. It's blue tint suddenly bursting into orange light as the heat began to pass through the limp material. It's whip-like quality passing the distance swiftly to move in it's position to wrap around the leg of the fighter. This was only one part of the master plan as Kieran raised the 30mm Rifle up with one arm, firing a burst of 3 explosive rounds towards the chest of the Zaku, an attempt to make it lose balance once more. The hum of energy once more returning to the cannon barrel as the Temjin prepared itself even more for combat.
"You're not bad, but I don't think you understand. I don't fight for glory or riches. Neither position or recognition. I fight to live, I fight to survive! Most importantly...I fight to KILL!! To kill the ones responsible for the attrocities I've witnessed! The wicked find no safety from me, no haven secure enough! YOUR JUST A STEPPING STONE!!!!!"
Kieran's voice roared through the arena, causing the spectators to go silent. This decleration of vengance, an almost vigilante styled behavior exploding through the walls causing most to start questioning what they were witnessing. This was no normal Arena battle, The Fighter wasn't fighting someone who was in it for fun or other things...no, this was not the right type of person for this match-up. This "Zono" was cruel, vindictive...and Cold. He hesitated not for a moment, a soldier of circumstance.

The fighter's unit does indeed fall backwards with both the heat rod attached, and the shots fired from the gun, but before the Zaku Hits the ground, the fighter activates his thrusters, sending him streight for the oposite wall of the arena, pulling on his oponent's heat Rod, which was wraped around his armored leg. It would take some time to melt through the amount of armor his unit had, so for now, unless his oponent did something, he would be along for the ride.

"Eh?!"
The heat-rod wrapped around the leg without much issue, and the explosive tipped rounds pecked at the armor with very minimal issue. Yet this man's sheer beastial combat instinct forced him into a position that was borderline psychotic. A full thrust exploded from the thrusters attached to the Zaku, threatening to pull the heavier RGC-80 with it into the arena wall. This would not occur however, as Kieran pushed a full reverse thrust to counter-act the pull of the other unit. Gritting his teeth in irritation, the pilot held fast. Eyes quickly running a system check to check tensile strength of the Heat-Rod.
"This wont last long, Shit. Guess I'll have to do it."
The Heat-Rod held up for a bit longer, allowing Zono to fire a few more rounds towards the cpatured Zaku's body, shoulder and rib areas. After the third shot however, the pilot ejected the rifle from his cannon's hand. Reaching over to brace the other arm, the Heat Rod was snapped in an effort to slam the Zaku down into the ground before ejecting the heat-rod as well, cutting reverse thrust. Zono was not missing motions as the unit swiftly pulled out it's Beam-Rifle from the hardpoint storage and aimed it down towards the Zaku, waiting to see what it would do next after the attempted slam and dislodged heat-rod. Even if the whip action didn't achieve the desired results, the pulse from the afterburners of the Zaku would propel it headlong into the wall itself. The hum of the shoulder once again burned in the ears of all, it was ready.

The fighter's unit, when it is released from the heat rod, flew backwards hard, and into the wall of the arena. That had hurt the fighter's suit quite a bit, but had the result that the fighter had been hoping for. The fighter looked over his readings realising that his suit was badly dammaged. Quickly, he made a decission. Switching back to his old boxing stance, the fighter thrusts forwards towards his oponent, stoping just short of him. Raising his single remaining arm once more, the fighter boosts forwards one last time, swinging his right arm for the torso of his oponent's mobile suit.

"Foolish..."
The Temjin moved swiftly into it's firing stance before releasing the high density of particles towards "The Fighter" and his fast approaching Zaku. Zono had to give the man credit, he certainly had lived up to the expectations of his reputation. Having taken the full barage of the 30mm Rounds, hit the arena wall and lost an arm...having gone through all that just to get up and attempt to finish him off? There was a measure of respect that had to be issued. Yet even so, that wouldn't change the outcome. The UNICORN officer watched with glee as the pink beam of energy ripped it's path towards the fast approaching Zaku, having fired moments before it'd reach him.
Zono was hoping to use his enemies momentum against him, having timed his shot with the last forward pulse of the fighter so that his cannon's blast would fire headlong into the opposing unit with an enhanced impact. This was not to be the end of his assault though, no no. Having readied his Beam Rifle previously, the prototype weapon was about to be put through it's paces. Firing two shots from the rifle towards the injured leg of the Zaku, Kieran watched and began to thrust backwards and to the side, an effort to keep his distance from the Fighter.

The fighter took the one shot(All the prototype rifle can do at this time) to the leg, crippling the leg badly, and doing plenty of dammage, though this did not stop his thrusters any. The fighter leaned into the blast from the shoulder mounted cannon, taking it to his shoulder guard of his dammaged arm, and his head. He had to switch his camera over to back up, but he was still in the fight. His unit still was moving forwards, dragging the leg behind it a bit, as the fighter's unit crashed into Kieran's unit at full speed, fist extended.
