Natalie paced up and down her lab, so far they had created systems to improve suit reaction time and responses but they only worked for enhanced humans. She wanted something for the others too, but their bodies couldn't handle the strain yet of the existing systems. She yelled out and hurled a small ball on her desk across the lab.
"Dammit. There's got to be another way."
Cecil walked in, the ball narrowly avoiding his head.
"Have you tried another approach? Perhaps biochemical?"

Natalie thought for a moment.
"You mean a drug induced performance increase? You do realise the potential consequences right? Psychosis, addiction, paranoia."
Harlow walked over to the main console and brought up several files that he'd taken with them from the company.
"We can regulate it the intake, and all we need to do is refine the compounds so that we achieve the desired effects." Cecil turned to his sister. "We're going to need every advantage we can get Nats, even if that means using combat stimulants."
"Is that what we're calling them now? They're performance enhancing drugs and they were banned for a reason." Natalie wasn't comfortable with the concept of dosing up her team mates with who knows what.
"Except I know you can figure it out. Come on, like old times." Cecil placed a hand on her shoulder and she smiled.
"Alright, we'll start with something simple and less dangerous, I suggest we use Adrenaline as a base and work from there."

Wandering the corridor leading to Team Strike's high tech Bio Lab, Marco Owen wondered as to the reason behind his request to the facility. While he and Cecil were not exactly BFFs, both members had a grudging respect for each other, in spite of their differences. Pausing by the entrance, the burly peeked around the door, wondering if he could get a heads up on what was going to happen, but all he could see, was Cecil, and his rather attractive sister.
Figuring that nothing wrong could happen in their presence, he rather boldly strode in.
"You needed me for something, Harlow ?", he said rather gruffly.

Natalie turned around. "Ah just in time, we have a little, project we'd like to try out."
Cecil handed Marco a small device to fit onto his pilot suit's wrist. "How'd you like to become stronger? Faster? More dangerous?"

Raising the device to eye level, Marco wondered if the reason Cecil had called him over, was to to give him a trinket. "Cecil, you called me to give me a trinket ? Especially when a large shipment of supplies just came in ? And i'm not seeing how this helps. I'm as dangerous as it is...Being even more dangerous...sounds fun", he replied, revealing a canine while he grinned in anticipation.
"Tell me more...yes..."

Natalie smiled, from what her brother had told her about Marco she entirely expected him to be interested. "That "trinket" is a prototype stimulant dispenser. It attaches to your arm while you're wearing your pilot suit. When active it can administer doses of loaded compounds when you want, granting a temporary boost."
"Interested?" Asked Cecil.

Prototype Stimulant Dispensor, Marco wondered in his mind, as he pondered on the implications of having such a device. But still the allure of increasing his physical attributes is something of a plus, especially during any wetwork operations, for one. And he was quite sure that the brother and sister pair wouldn't give to him something that would harm him...much... right ?
"Can this be placed anywhere on the body, or ?"

Natalie shook her head. "Only the wrists, there is one small issue though we need to make clear."
Cecil pulled up the device schematics on the lab's main screen. "Because of the machine's fragile construction there's a chance that damaging the device will most likely result in the control circuits failing. When that happens the device will dispense all remaining infusions at once."
"When that happens you'll be dosed up with everything still in the device at once, that's why we're testing it with Iso-Adrenaline, the only side-effect in this case would be a massive adrenaline rush."

"That explains it...Pity", he murmured as he continued to admire the device attached to his wrist. "I don't suppose there is a way to harden the construction ?" Marco asked, while wondering what other options the two were in the process of concocting.
"Anyway, how do you work this thing ?"

Cecil opened keyed in a command into the controls and small hatch in the wall opened.
"What you're holding is a Mark I Crisis Wristband." he motioned at the hatch, inside were two more. "A Mark I.5, and Mark II. The Mark I.5 has a stronger casing but holds less charges while the Mark II has better damage control circuits. Unfortunately each has a number of bugs that need to be worked out in the first version."
"When you attach it the device uses a jet injector to administer the drug into the bloodstream. It can either be directly controlled using the keypad on it or by interfacing it with the mobile suit. The idea is later versions will need to be built directly into the pilot suit so that they can be used in space properly."
"Despite these proposed upgrades though we still need to do a live test on it, right now it's empty but it's fairly easy to work."

Whilst Cecil was explaining about the other two devices, Marco was occupied with checking out the device. Rather deliberately, or unwisely, he triggered the device, but it seemed to him that there was nothing happening. The burly male didn't feel anything different at all, and personally he wondered if the device was defective in some way, or maybe Cecil was just trolling him.
"It doesn't seem to be working"

Natalie gave him a look. "It's empty, we have a few charges prepared though for you to try out. Iso-Adrenaline, a modified version and produces a stronger reaction then the usual stuff." She held out 4 small vials. "Try them out, though preferably not in the middle of the lab, somewhere you can hit stuff perhaps."

Reaching for the cartridges, Marco fiddled with the device on his wrist wondering where he was to insert the ampoules. Eventually figuring out the point of insertion, he loaded the device up and depressed the button to activate the mechanism. With in seconds, the drug flooded its way into his bloodstream and across his entire system, causing him to feel the effects almost instantaneously. His visual acuity increased dramatically, while he was having an increased heart rate, and breathing much deeper than usual. And his entire body was feeling pumped and ready to fight.
The sensation was in itself and experience, and Marco did consider that it would be quite useful, even if he was piloting in his MS. Breathing heavier than usual, the burly male mentioned that it was quite a ride so far.

Cecil walked over to the far side of the lab, opened the door and motioned to it. "How about going for a run? We'll clock your time and see how much of a boost you get."

Still pumped full on enhanced adrenaline, Marco jumped slightly, when he heard of the click of the door. He'd almost wanted to jump and turn around, when he remembered that he was still in the siblings' lab. Seeing Cecil gesture outside, the merc was kinda surprised to hear his team member suggest a run, considering he was not suitably attired in the first place. But as it were, he was bursting with energy, and took Cecil up on his offer.
Rather surprisingly, he found the running to be almost effortlessly and Marco was quite sure that he had been only running for a short while, when Cecil got his attention and directed to a halt.
